This is a 1 bedroom (kingsize bed) quirky schoolhouse by the river, set right on the estuary. LOCATION 1 mile to Alnmouth station/Airport 35 mins. FREE PARKING. The converted old schoolhouse is set on a privately owned stretch of the River Coquet (the garden wall is the river wall) and sleeps 2 people in one double bedroom with a king size bed, in an open plan converted Old School. The house is a short walk to Warkworth beach, golf course, the chocolate shop, restaurants, a village store, pubs, cafes and approximately one mile to Amble Marina and many seafood restaurants and larger shops. A set of PING golf clubs are available to hire (deposit required). Perfect for cycling holidays (keep your bikes at the house), canoeing, boat trips, days at the seaside and exploring Northumberland and its many castles. Note the river is an estuary and therefore tidal. So a very interesting view where you can see an occasional seal, deer, herons, ducks and swans. There is one free off road parking space. Free parking on the road. Mirrored furnishings, large American soft sofas and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a suspended walkway from the bedroom to the fully fitted bathroom, so this property is not suitable for young children. An attractive terrace is located by the French doors with a table and chairs and incredible views of the wildlife and river, with many boaters, canoeists and paddle boarders. Double height vaulted ceiling to the large open lounge and dining room with enormous, original full height school windows. Large flat screen TV with Sky Q. This is an excellent location. Close to many tourist attractions, yet extremely quiet and tranquil. Lots of things to do from water sports to pretty coves and beaches, restaurants and boat trips. The train station is ideally located one mile away for very convenient access for days out to York, Edinburgh, even London and of course Newcastle and its superb nightlife, theatres, shopping centres and cinemas. Other things to note: Many visitors travel from afar and arrive with their bikes and cycle from Alnmouth station on the cycle track. Equally this is incredible for fly fishing (fishing can be arranged privately).
