"We stayed at The School House last week for 3 nights. What a wonderful find! The house was like walking into a home. There was everything one would need plus more! Comfortable, relaxing in fact home from home. We were greeted with a lovely basket of goodies including gorgeous fresh bread, milk, champagne, chocolate and more! That was inside......outside....well that was something else! What a fabulous view, scenery, wildlife etc. To sit and watch the world go by or should I say the boats, paddle boarding, kayaks up and down the river, not to mention the swans and ducks!! Peace and tranquillity in buckets! We also had the pleasure of meeting the hosts on one or two occasions. What lovely, friendly, gregarious people they were. This place is an absolute credit to them. We shall definitely return but it will be for longer than 3 nights!"

"The School house is most definitely an Idyllic Hideaway. It is very comfortable and has a fantastic location be the river, within an easy walk of pubs, shops and restaurants. The extra touches from the Host were a welcome bonus."

"Gareth and Claire are excellent hosts - super-responsive and helpful. It's a lovely property, right on the river in beautiful Warkworth, which has several lovely pubs and restaurants as well as being very close to Amble. If you book, You won't regret it 😃"

"Beautiful spot by the river with huge open plan kitchen-diner-lounge. Warkworth is a cute place, we enjoyed wandering to the pubs. We had some great cycles north to Craster etc. Hosts very relaxed and easy to contact. Would recommend."

"A lovely setting and our hosts blessed us with some extra touches. We found the space to be fun and quirky. The bedroom is upstairs with the walkway to the bathroom at the opposite end. Our hosts were really helpful and friendly."

"Lovely, quirky place by the river with picturesque views. Great location, just minutes from some good cafes and restaurants and only a stones throw from Warkworth castle. Also just a short drive away from Alnwick Garden and Castle. Claire and Gareth were great hosts. The place was clean and well presented and we were welcomed with tea, biscuits and fresh bread. Great stay!!!"

"The Old Shool House is a lovely space with amazing views across the river. Watching the wildlife is fascinating. Claire and Gareth couldn't have been more helpful and communication is excellent. It was very easy to park and access the accommodation and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We loved our weekend in Warkworth. Although it was cold outside it was very cosy inside during the evenings in front of the fire."
